About Us

Over the last ten years, the Goat Group has evolved from an experimental project consisting of low percentage Boers to a primarily Purebred doe herd. Our foundation does were purchased from Cablecroft Farm, with subsequent bucks leased and purchased from various sources, most recently incorporating the genetics of Full Moon Boers in western MA. We have also purchased semen from BIO-Genics and although we are not currently using artificial insemination, we hope to do so again in the future.

Through continual improvement in the quality of our goats, the group has seen a steady increase in demand for our goats as slaughter kids, pets, show prospects, and breeding stock. All decisions are made as a group, with officers elected to focus on specific aspects of meat goat production and marketing.

Although we plan on maintaining our current herd size of about 15 breeding does, we are looking to decrease our kidding interval, and select more intensively for traits such as mothering ability, productivity, and parasite resistance, while continuing to increase the overall percentage of Boer blood in our does.

Thank you for your support and we welcome any inquiries about our program and our animals.
